It took a black out around the valley on Thursday (April 28th) to send Wendy on her way to the un-employed line 3 hours ahead of schedule. Unfortunately, instead of coming home to a glass of champagne, she walks in to an apartment full of boxes and on going packing. Meanwhile, Basilio still has to work one night shift on Sunday.
Yes, we have to be out of our apartment by Saturday (April 30th), and immediately start our life as TPT's(trailer park trash). Our retirement starts with a weeks visit to each of our 4 daughters, then off to Alaska, Yukon, and NWT for the summer.
We will keep our blog updated as frequent as we can...Stay tune.

Two weeks to a new world for us
Time goes way too fast. Already we are down to only 14 days before we have to empty our apartment and say goodbye to the more solid ties in our life. The last year has been so busy with packing, discarding, forcing more stuff onto the girls...
We finally brought our beautiful trailer up to Deep River and Basilio did an amazing job of parking it in just the right spot. Now we've been cleaning and sorting (more!) and have actually gotten around to loading up.
This is still a fluid plan. Decisions are made and are changed. The only thing we know for sure is we will be travelling for as long a time as we are willing and physically able to. Priority number one is to spend time with each of our girls and their families. And so that's where we are starting.
